Edelan Edelan Bear Bum Registered: 02/25/08 Posts: 2885 Loc: Colorado	Normalization will set everyone's voice in vent to the same volume, regardless of their configuration. So you won't have to strain to hear Myst or get your eardrums blown when Strong starts yelling at DK to unmute him. To set normalization, follow the directions below: Go to Setup. Enable Direct Sound on your speakers in the top right. Click the SFX button to the right of the check box. Select Compressor and click the Add button in the middle. Under the compressor properties set the following: Gain - this setting sets how loud everyone will be. I use 7 ... yay Vegas Attack - 0.01 Release - around 500 Threshold - around -30 Ratio - 100 Predelay - 4.0 - - - - - - Enjoy! _________________________

I never have trouble hearing hoof or gorthad. myst and one other i can barely hear. I had them setup with special volumes, myst was at like 700% and hoof was 90%. I figured vent could be normalized and low and behold ... it can. No more custom settings for anyone, all of you are now the same volume. _________________________
