Part 1: Current Key Points (Not my opinions - I summarized the article (Green Text is a buff, Red Text is a nerf, Yellow is a "nuff" - nerf a part but buff something else)

Shaman [Big Fan of this change - finally the shammy won't just be useful for AOE healing]:
-Major Buff to our HoT Spell
-Changed our Ancestral Healing Ability that allows us to not only be a slightly more potent tank healer, but that this ability will actually increase their total max health.

-Increase to the CD of our Windshear Interrupt (Resto Only) - for PVP purposes - should have no impact in PvE.

DK's [Death Knights - it's not all about you DK ]:
-Changes mostly to Blood, want to make sure that missing Death Strike is not as punitive.
-Increasing the important of Expertise and Hit
-Simplified Blade Barrier and reduced the cool down of Outbreak


Druid:
Only current changes appear to be for Resto
-Belief that Wild Growth has become basically the "Chain-Heal of Wrath" - but not enough that a direct nerf was necessary, so the Glyph of WG was modifided to still increase the amount of targets, but have some form of downside/consequence (not specified what though - I assume a mana increase of some kind since that is what they did with the other glyphs glyph nerfs).

Paladin:
-Removed the Seal of Insights 15% mana regen, and changed Judgement of the pure to provide a constant mana regen - meaning the H-Pally will only have to judge every 30 seconds instead of 8.
-Holy Radiance is now a cast-time spell - removing its CD - giving the H-Pally better AOE healing to match the Drood and Shammy.
-Holy Talents modified to support (and increase) the effect of Holy Radiance - for the above reason.

-Light of Dawn Glyph was changed so that it will no longer increase the number of targets, but instead increases the healing throughput (Didn't think this spell was useful as it should be.)

Priests:
-[Holy]Were concerned that Disc Priest were being chosen more than Holy due to a lack of a raid cool down - therefore State of Mind is being replaced with Heavenly Voice, which will boost the healing of Divine Hymn to make it more competitive with Power Word: Barrier. We also increased the number of targets of Divine Hymn from three to five.
-Circle of Healing was in a similar situation as the Druid WG glyph, but with Circle of Healing, they felt the healing amount was right, but was being used in inappropriate situations - so this glyph will increase the mana cost to make sure the priest only uses it when needed (I do not know about the mana cost of the Drood Circle, but I know the Shammy circle cost about 12% of my mana each time so its not a spam heal)

Ghostcrawler has another great Developer Watercooler post, this time specifically about patch 4.3. You can read the entire post here, but these are some hunter-relevant extracts:

We have not yet finished enough testing to be confident in our benchmark damage, healing, and tanking numbers for 4.3. When we finish those, and when we see what some players are capable of doing on the PTR (or even what they theorycraft or sim based on PTR numbers) there will be additional changes.


Overall, we think melee DPS in dungeons and raids is still too low. We think melee DPS is fine in PvP, and we think melee DPS is competitive against ranged specs against target dummies, but in actual encounters with all of their moving pieces, melee falls behind. To attempt to adjust for this imbalance, we have improved the benefit to attack power given by the various raid buffs (Blessing of Might et al.) to melee only. Hunter DPS is fine, or even high in 4.2, so we didn’t want this buff to extend to them, which is why the AP benefit is now 20% for melee attacks but still 10% for ranged attacks.



You’ll also notice some classes aren’t mentioned at all. It’s possible we’re just happy with them, but it’s more likely we just haven’t gotten to them yet. We don’t want to hold a PTR until every single thing is done, because that minimizes test time.



What concerns me - "Hunter DPS is fine, or even high in 4.2, so we didn’t want this buff to extend to them" - Hunters are sitting at 8th, 20th and 22nd in DPS ranking out of 24 possible specs. I don't quite see this as "fine" let alone "high".

I wonder what their data qual is for a valid stat (or if they are even using a chi-square test to prove if they have a valid population to make these tests) I would assume, that they are probably just looking at the top guilds (the big name ones that raid 5 nights a week and get paid).

Although they have not said anything officially on Blizzard's site - here are some changes for hunters that was data mined on MM0:

Hunters:
Survival
Cobra Shot now has a 2 sec cast time, up from 1.5 sec.

Marksmanship
Aimed Shot now has a 2.9 sec cast time, up from 2.4 sec.
Kill Shot now scales from 45% of Ranged Attack Power, up from 30%.
Chimera Shot now causes Nature damage. (Tooltip clarification)
Trueshot Aura now increases melee attack power by 20% and ranged attack power by 10%.

Every one of those "changes" are just tool tip corrections accept for the True Shot Aura.


As to the data set - http://raidbots.com/dpsbot is the spot I was referring to. They use the WoL data (all data) to parse which is the same data that Summer was using. It is certainly not just the top 100 parses and I am even more certain that the casters are not putting more DPS out because they have a legendary staff.

Yea Chris, just saw that on further down - Down from 3717 to 2975 - I assume those are the base numbers and those stack with SP? Is this a considerable nerf or more of a minor annoyance in your opinion?

Those are the base numbers so it will still stack with SP. Considerable? I dont think so. Wild Growth isnt going to make or break a raid, its just a quick heal when AoE damage is out there. I think Resto Druids are going to be fine, still believe that we need some type of damage mitigation cooldown but whatever \:\)
